Amethi Ordnance Factory Was Producing Small Arms, PM Modi Lied In Amethi: Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi: Congress President Rahul Gandhi has criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of being a ‘habitual liar’ while asserting that the Korwa Ordinance Factory in Amethi was already operational and had been producing small arms.
“Mr Prime Minister, the foundation of Amethi’s ordnance factory was done by me in 2010. For the past several years, it has been producing small firearms,” Rahul Gandhi said on Twitter.
“You went to Amethi yesterday and once again lied as you are compelled by habit. Don’t you feel ashamed at all?” asked the Congress chief.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated a new unit at the Korwa ordnance factory to manufacture advanced AK-203 assault rifles and alleged that the UPA had compromised national security.
This was PM Modi’s first visit as Prime Minister to Amethi, which is considered to be a strong Congress Bastion. Rahul Gandhi has been representing the Amethi constituency in the Lok Sabha since 2004 and before him, his mother and former UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi held the seat for one term.
