9 dead, 19 injured in explosion in factory in Hapur of Uttar Pradesh
New Delhi: As many as 9 persons reportedly died while 19 others sustained critical injury in an explosion that took place in electronic equipment manufacturing factory in Hapur area of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.
Hapur District Magistrate Medha Roopam has said that permission was for manufacturing electronics goods (at the factory) but it has to be probed what really was happening.

Police and fire fighters have rushed to the spot and rescue operations are underway, reported Hindustan Times.
UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the officiers of the District administration to rush to the spot and execute the rescue operation and help out the family members of the victims. It was tweeted in the official handle of the CM.
