Kolhapur: Atleast eight people were swept away by strong currents of Krishna river while the tractor was crossing the river at Ichalkaranji of Kolhapur in Maharashtra on Friday (August 2).
According to reports, the incident took place when the tractor was crossing the Krishna river and around eight people on board also swept away.
On being informed about the incident, the locals along with the NDRF team who are stationed at Shitol, immediately rushed to the accident site to conduct the search and rescue operations.
All efforts are on to rescue the missing people.
