7 Day Lockdown Imposed In Jharkhand

Ranchi: Due to the rise in Covid cases in Jharkhand, the state government has imposed a seven day lock down from today till April 29 in order to curb the spread of coronavirus infection.

The lock down has started today from 6 am and it will continue till 6 pm of April 29.

The government has made few exceptions to the lock down and has assured that essential services will be allowed to operate.

The Central and State government offices, and the private sector have been exempted from the lockdown, whereas private organisations and offices will remain shut. The government has also imposed Section 144 — prohibiting the assembly of five or more persons at a place — all across the State.

The decision of lock down has been imposed in order to break the chain of transmission of Covid-19, said the government.
