Hyderabad: In a recent incident, a 64 year old man from Hyderabad walked 8000 kilometers to Ayodhya. Interestingly, he was carrying gold platted slippers for Lord Ram.

This incident comes ahead of the consecration ceremony of Ayodhya Ram mandir on January 22.

Reports from reliable sources tell us that the gold plated slippers are worth Rs 65 lakh. Identified as Challa Srinivasa Sastry, the man claims that he mirrored the route of Lord Ram’s Vanvas, retracing the Ayodhya-Rameswaram route.

Earlier, Srinivasa had also donated a total of five sliver bricks to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Notably, the Ram devotee began his journey back on July 20. In an interesting mention, he stopped at all the Shiv lings placed by Lord Ram along the path.

It is noteworthy mentioning that Challa Srinivasa Sastry has covered other significant locations like Puri in Odisha, Dwarka in Gujarat, and Trimbak in Maharashtra.

Srinivasa plans to hand over the gold plated slippers to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath upon reaching Ayodhya in the next 10 days. The gold plated slippers “padukalu,” have been made with five metals.

It is also noteworthy mentioning that Sastry has been inspired by the research works of Dr Ramavatar. Dr Ramavatar is a retired Income Tax Officer who has religiously tracked the route followed by Lord Ram during his exile period.
