6 Killed In Accident At Agra-Lucknow Expressway

Uttar Pradesh: Six members of a family were killed during an accident on Saturday morning, near Agra-Lucknow Expressway when a car rammed into a truck near Taalgram area in Kannauj district.

The deceased has been identified as Mohit Yadav (36), Pramod Yadav (35), Gyanendra Yadav (32), Sonu Yadav (31), Satyendra Yadav(18)and Suraj(15), from Kakori area of Lucknow.

According to the Superintendent of Kannuaj police Prashant Verma, all the six-member of the family left to Mehandipur Balaji temple in Rajasthan in a car late on Friday night from Kakori area of Lucknow were the driver of the car was unable to see the truck in front of the expressway due to dense fog and rammed into it, the car got entangled and the persons sustained critical injuries.

Then the injured were rescued with much difficulty by the police and UPIEDA patrolling team and were immediately rushed to the Tiwari medical college where they were declared dead.

The family of the deceased has been informed about the tragedy, however, the driver of the truck managed to flee away.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his deepest condolence for this incident.

Earlier, dense fog was predicted on early morning 13th of February by Metrological department, around Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh and northwest Rajasthan, also over the same area in the morning hours of February 14.
