55-year-old bedridden man started walking, speaking after taking Covishield first dose!

Bokaro: In what can be considered a surprise incident, a 55-year-old bedridden man started to walk and speak after taking the first dose of the Covishield vaccine. This was claimed by the doctors on Thursday.

According to media reports, one Dularchand Munda, a resident of Salgadih village in Bokaro district of Jharkhand was bedridden after meeting with an accident. He was also unable to walk and speak following the road mishap which took place five years back.

Dr Albela Kerketta, the in-charge of Peterwar Community Health Centre, said that Munda was administered the Covishield vaccine by an Anganwadi worker on January 4. On the following day, his family members were shocked after reportedly noticing him moving his legs and uttering words, he added as reported by the newindianexpress.com.

Civil Surgeon Dr Jitendra Kumar of Bokaro said a three-member medical team has been constituted to examine the miraculous recovery of Munda, to which the villagers termed as a divine intervention.
