Lucknow: In a shocking incident, as many as five people were killed and at least seven injured in a road accident in Lucknow on Saturday. The accident took place as a tempo collided with a car.
The locals and police rushed to the scene, and the injured were immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. The bodies were sent for postmortem. The accident took place under the Ikouna police station jurisdiction in Shravasti area of Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of lives in a road accident in Lucknow’s Shravasti district and expressed his condolences to the bereaved families, on his X handle.
The Chief Minister has directed the district administration officials to expedite the relief work as well as provide proper treatment to the injured. He has also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
