5.0 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Champ, Dharamshala of Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh: An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 on the Richter scale struck Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh today, according to the National Centre for Seismology. It was reported by news agency ANI on its official X handle today.
The quake sent residents rushing out of homes and offices. Tremors were felt in nearby areas including Dharamshala.
A Dharamshala resident described the experience: “It was a terrifying experience; we were absolutely petrified. Everyone rushed out immediately… It felt as though the building was about to collapse. It was an intense tremor, the most intense one I’ve ever experienced in my life.”
