40 injured as wall collapses on them in Bihar during a puja event

Patna: There has been a wall collapse in Bihar in the wee hours on Wednesday in which as many as 40 people have been injured. According to reports, around 40 people have been injured yesterday.

Reports say that, the wall of a house collapsed on them at a village under Punpun police sation area of Patna, the capital city of Bihar.

They had allegedly gathered there for a puja event all the injured people have been rushed to the nearby hospital and are under treatment.

SDPO Masaurhi Kanhaiya Singh told ANI, “On 28th August, we received information regarding a wall collapse of a house at a village under Punpun Police Sation area. We also came to know that a few people were trapped under the debris,” he informed.

“Police officials, Administration officers and an ambulance were rushed to the spot (of the wall collapse in Bihar). Around 40 injured people were rescued from the spot. Around 100 people had gathered there for a puja event. The situation is now normal. Injured are under treatment,” he further added.
