4-year-old girl kidnapped, murdered in Gujarat, accused killed in police encounter

Ahmedabad: The accused person is who kidnapped a 4-year-old girl and murdered her has been killed in police encounter in Gujarat on Sunday early morning.
The accused is identified as Suresh Parmar. He was arrested in connection to the case within hours of commiting the crime. He was being shifted to another place in a police van. Suresh complained of sickness after which the van was stopped on the roadside so that he could vomit, but he allegedly took out his knife and attacked the police personnel on duty.
The police personnel were identified as two in number and sustained injuries during the incident. He wanted to escape the custody by attacking, police gave him a chance to surrender but he refused and kept on attacking.
The police present on the spot in self defence fired the accused person, he was taken to a hospital for medical treatment but he succumbed to his injuries.
The 4-year-old girl had gone missing from Vasad railway station in Anand district. Her body was later found. Police are also investigating whether she was sexually assaulted. The incident has shocked people across the state.
