4 Killed As Mini Bus Plunges Into 80 foot Gorge In Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh: At least four people, including women and children, were killed when a tourist bus fell into a valley near Damuku in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam district.

The mini bus carrying 23 passengers was travelling from Araku to Visakhapatnam city. It is a tourist bus and the bus driver lost control over the wheels and fell into the 80 ft valley near Damuku, within Ananthagiri police station limits.

While four of them died on the spot and 19 passengers sustained critical injuries.

The injured persons were immediately rescued and shifted the critically injured to the S.Kota hospital for treatment.

On being informed Ananthagiri Police reached the spot and started a probe into the matter.

The police added that the tourists were mostly from Telangana as the bus bore the neighbouring state’s vehicle registration details.

Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan expressed his deep sorrow over the accident and requested officials to immediately provide better treatment to all the injured tourists, an official statement said.
