3 Terrorists, 1 Policeman Killed In Ongoing Encounter In Srinagar

Srinagar: Three terrorists and one Jammu and Kashmir policeman were killed during an encounter in the Fateh Kadal area of Srinagar in Kashmir on Wednesday. One of the slain militant has been reportedly identified as Mehraj Bangroo.

Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel have also sustained injuries in the gun fight. The dead policeman has been identified as Kamal. He hailed from Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.

In view of the ongoing encounter and fierce gun fight between security forces, J&K Police and the militants, the entire area has been cordoned off. All educational institutions have been closed and internet connectivity has been suspended in Srinagar for security reasons.
