26 hardcore maoists carrying reward of Rs 64 lakh surrender in Chhattisgarh
A total of 26 hardcore Naxalites, including seven women, have surrendered simultaneously and returned to the mainstream in Sukma.
Malkangiri: In a significant success for police for Left-Wing Extremism operation, 26 hardcore Naxalites, including seven women, have surrendered simultaneously and returned to the mainstream in the Maoist-affected Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday. The 26 hardcore Maoists were carrying a collective bounty of Rs 64 lakh.
The surrendered Maoists were involved in various incidents across Odisha and Sukma region.
The Maoists surrendered after getting reassurance from the Government’s attractive Naxalite surrender and rehabilition policy.
