2019 Election Results LIVE Updates: NDA leads With 342 Seats, UPA Trails At 92

New Delhi: Initial trends suggest that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to retain power as its candidates were leading in a majority of the 542 Lok Sabha seats.

The NDA was leading in 341 seats, with the BJP ahead in 286 seats and alliance in 101 seats. The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was ahead in 91 seats with the grand old party in 52 seats. The other regional parties were leading in over 100 seats.

In West Bengal, the BJP is leading in 15 seats, the TMC is ahead in 25 while Congress is ahead in two. In Delhi, BJP’s Gautam it is leading with 73,000 against Congress’ Arvinder Lovely who is leading with 33,500 votes and Atishi of AAP with 22,800 votes.

Mathura’s sitting MP and BJP candidates Hema Malini is leading by 22,893 votes against nearest rival and SP-BSP-RLD alliance candidate Kunwar Narendra Singh in. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK is leading on 22 seats.

The BJP is leading on all 26 Lok Sabha  seats in Gujarat, home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, as per trends available so far. In Maharashtra, the BJP-Shiv Sena combine is leading in all six seats of Mumbai with candidates of the two saffron allies establishing comfortable leads over their Congress and NCP rivals.

Rahul Gandhi has crossed one lakh votes and is heading for a victory in Wayanad. The parliamentary segment witnessed a record turnout of voters this year as polling was held in Kerala’s 20 constituencies. However, BJP’s Smriti Irani is leading with over 7600 votes from Amethi.
