200 injured, 5 critical after makeshift gallery collapse in Kerala

Kerala: In a horrific incident, around 200 persons were injured including five sustained serious injuries after the makeshift gallery of a football stadium collapsed in Poongod of north Kerala’s Malappuram district late Saturday evening.

The incident took place at 9 pm when a football final match was being played in Poongodu, a football crazy village near Wandoor and Kalikavu.

The video has also been shared by news agency ANI, where one can see the temporary gallery falling on the people who were watching the match. As a result of which 200 persons sustained injuries including five critical injuries.

All the injured were immediately rushed to the nearby hospitals.
