20 Trapped As 4-Storey Building Collapses In Gurugram

Gurugram: As many as 20 people are believed to be trapped under the debris of a 4-storey building which collapsed at Gurugram’s Ullawas area on the outskirts of New Delhi on early Thursday morning.

The collapse occurred at 5 am on Thursday morning at Sector 65, 12 km from Cyber Hub area of the city. 

The building belongs to one Dayaram. Almost 20 people, mostly security guards employed in nearby sectors were tenants in the building.

Haryana Fire Department along with other security and emergency services personnel are currently involved in the rescue effort. A bulldozer  is being used to clear the debris at the site of collapse in Gurugram’s Sector 65. The number of injured are yet to be ascertained.  

Three National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) teams from Dwarka and Ghaziabad were rushed to the site of the collapse and have been pressed into service.
