2 LeT terrorists killed during encounter in Danmar of Srinagar

New Delhi: Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces Danmar area of Srinagar on Friday, informed Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Vijay Kumar.

The encounter broke out at Alamdar Colony in Danmar area early this morning.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of J&K Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area following which the two terrorists were encountered.

Kashmir Police IG Vijay Kumar said that the terrorists were locals and belonged to terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Earlier on Wednesday, Three terrorists were killed in an encounter Pulwama town of South Kashmir. While one terrorist was identified as Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Aijaz alias Abu Huraira, one local terrorist identified as Shahnawaz and one other unidentified local.
