19 new AIIMS to have Ayurveda centres: Minister of State for AYUSH

New Delhi: Ayurveda Departments will be opened in the new 19 AIIMS. This was announced by Minister of State for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik on Monday.

Inaugurating the third Ayurveda Day in New Delhi, Naik said that his ministry will organise 50 workshops in collaboration with MSME to enhance entrepreneurship in Ayurveda and AYUSH sector.

He also declared that work has started to have Ayurveda Departments in hundred ESIC hospitals under Ministry of Labour.

He further informed that approval has been received from Union Ministry of Home Affairs to open Ayurveda Departments in seven hospitals of Border Security Force and other paramilitary forces.

Union Minister for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences and Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Dr. Harshvardhann was also present during the inauguration of the third Ayurveda Day which was celebrated throughout the country on the occasion of Dhanwantari Jayanti.

In a bid to mark the day and with the intention to encourage entrepreneurs and Ayurveda stakeholders towards businesses opportunities in the sector, the Ministry had organized a “National Seminar on Entrepreneurship and Business Development in Ayurveda” in association with NITI Aayog.
