18-Year-Old Drowns in Jharkhand as Social Media Stunt Goes Horribly Wrong

Sahibganj: An attempt to jump into a 100-foot-deep quarry lake to film an Instagram reel resulted in the death of an 18-year-old man in Jharkhand.

According to local police, an 18-year-old man in Jharkhand’s Sahibganj district drowned after diving into deep water from a height to create a reel.

Tausif, the man, tried to jump into the lake from a height of about 100 feet, but he lost control in the water, and even though his friends tried to save him, it did not seem like a successful attempt.

The friends quickly notified the authorities, and a search was soon under way. The young man’s body was eventually recovered from the water. The entire incident of the guy jumping and falling into the water was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.

In a similar incident, a 22-year-old in Rajasthan accidentally shot himself in the chest while filming a video of a country-made gun. He was taken to the hospital right away, but when they reached there, the hospital authorities pronounced him brought dead.
