Jharkhand: In a shocking incident, at least 18 Kanwariyas died after a bus-truck collided in Deoghar, Jharkhand today.

According to the reports, they were returning after offering  the holy water at Lord Shiva’s shrine, when the 32-seater bus that were travelling in collided with a truck transporting gas cylinders.

The MP of Deoghar, Dr Nishikant Dubey took to his X to inform about the tragic news. He wrote, “In my Lok Sabha constituency of Deoghar, during the Kanwar Yatra in the month of Shravan, 18 devotees lost their lives due to a bus and truck accident. May Baba Baidyanath Ji grant strength to their families to bear this grief.”

Emergency services rushed to the spot and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
