One person was brought dead to the hospital, and twenty-five people have been detained, said police.

The two conflicting groups pelted stones at each other, damaged vehicles, and caused ruckus on the street, according to the police.

As many as eight people, including two cops, were injured in the clashes, and a heavy police force had to be deployed in the areas to restore law and order, said the police.

According to the sources, an offensive Instagram post about a religious leader triggered the clash, which was deleted later.
