Wayanad landslide tragedy: Allu Arjun donates Rs 25 lakh to Kerala CM Relief Fund

South star Allu Arjun has donated Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund for the relief work in landslide-hit Wayanad. The actor shared this information on Instagram and wished for the safety of the landslide victims.

He said that he will donating the amount of Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund in the post.

The actor’s Instagram post reads, “I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. Kerala has always given me so much love, and I want to do my bit by donating RS 25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund to support the rehabilitation work. Praying for your safety and strength.”

The post was shared with the caption, “Praying for the safety and strength of the people of Kerala.”

Apart from Allu Arjun, many other actors has also donated for the landslide hit Wayanad relief work. Among them are Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Suriya and Vikram, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya, Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan.

The actors and producers have donated lakhs to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.

Meanwhile actor Mohanlal visited the landslide-hit Wayanad in his army uniform, and pledged to donate Rs 3 crore for the rehabilitation work of the disaster-hit region on Saturday.

Speaking to the media, Mohanlal said, “The magnitude of the landslide can only be comprehended by witnessing it first-hand. The army, the navy, the air force, the NDRF, the Fire and Rescue, the other organisations, locals etc. who all are part of the rescue operations have done a wonderful job.”

Keral’s  Wayanad district faced disastrous landslide around July 30, which has left over 350 dead and many other still missing. Meanwhile, entirety of villages has been washed away in the landslide. The rescue operation is still ongoing.
