KumKum Bhagya actor Asha Sharma has passed away on Sunday. At the time of her death, she was aged 88 years old. There is no information about the cause of her death yet.
The actor’s death was confirmed by Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) after the organization shared a post offering tribute to the late actor. Cine and TV Artistes Association wrote in their post, “Cintaa expresses its condolences on the demise of Asha Sharma.”
Asha Sharma was mostly known for her role of grandmother in Ekta Kapoor’s hit show Kumkum Bhagya. She was also seen in the role of grandmother and mother in a number of daily soaps and films.
Asha Sharma was last seen in the role of Shabari in Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s mythological movie Adipurush. Asha Sharma played the role of Shabari in the mythological drama.
Asha Sharma had also starred in old movies like film Do Dishayen alongside Dharmendra, Hema Malini’s, and Prem Chopra, Aruna Irani, and Nirupa Roy.
She worked in films like Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam. She also appeared in television shows like as Kumkum Bhagya, Mann Ki Awaz Pratigya, and Ek Aur Mahabharat, among others.
