Sanjay Dutt, Parineeti Chopra & Sonakshi Sinha Join Ajay Devgn In ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’

Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt, Parineeti Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha have joined the star cast of Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film, ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’. The film will also stars Rana Daggubati and Ammy Virk in key roles.

Parineeti took to Twitter to announce her association with the project.

In the film, Ajay Devgn plays Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik in the film while Parineeti will be playing Heena Rehman. Sonakshi Sinha plays social worker Sunderben Jetha Madharparya while Sanjay Dutt will portray civilian Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari,

Rana Daggubati will play a lieutenant colonel from the Madras regiment and Ammy Virk will star as a fighter pilot.

The film is based on real-life events during the Indo-Pak war of 1971 and will be directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya.

‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ will portray the story of Squadron leader Vijay Karnik who was in charge of the Bhuj airbase during the 1971 war, which remained operational despite facing heavy bombing from Pakistan. Karnik was accompanied by 50 air force and 60 defence security personnel at the airbase. Later, he and his team reconstructed the destroyed Indian Air Force airstrip at Bhuj, Gujarat with the help of local women.
