Rajkummar Rao To Play Dharmendra’s Role In ‘Chupke Chupke’ Remake

Mumbai: After delivering rock-solid performances in films like ‘Newton’, Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and more recently ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ actor Rajkummar Rao has finally entered the big league. The versatile actor has played different characters in all his films and impressed critics and audiences alike.

According to the latest reports, Rajkummar will be stepping in Dharmendra’s shoes for the ‘Chupke Chupke’ remake, which will be directed by Luv Ranjan.

Apparently, the actor has been roped in to play Dharmendra’s part in the remake of Chupke Chupke (1975) which also starred Amitabh Bachchan. In the remake, Rajkummar will be playing the part of Professor Parimal Tripathi aka Pyarelal which was essayed by Dharmendra in the original.

Chupke Chupke was an out-and-out comedy film and Rajkummar will be seen in a humorous character again. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar and Luv Ranjan.

An official announcement regarding the same is being awaited.
