In recent news, “Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire” marked a terrific opening at the domestic box office. With approximately Rs 90 crore in its bucket on day 1, “Salaar” has surpassed the first day collections of “Jawan,” “Pathaan,” and “Animal” as well. With this, the Prabhas starrer film has become the biggest opener of 2023.
Notably, the first day collections of the above mentioned films are as follows: “Pathaan” at Rs 57 crore, “Jawan” at Rs 75 crore, and “Animal” at Rs 63 crore. Speaking about the global box office collection, “Salaar” has reportedly crossed Rs 175 crores worldwide.
Buzz has it that “Salaar” minted about Rs 70 crore from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film saw a massive occupancy rate of 88.93 percent in Telugu language. Coming to Karnataka and Kerala, the film collected around Rs 12 crore and Rs 5 crore, respectively.
Currently, Prabhas’ “Salaar” is in competition with Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki.”
Coming back to “Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire,” the action film has managed to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Needless to say, the film has received a lot of positive reviews. This marks Prabhas’ successful return to the big screen after “Adipurush” failed to impress the audience.
Helmed by Prasanth-Neel, “Salaar” features a lot of other stars other than Prabhas. The stellar cast shows Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, and Shruti Hassan in crucial roles. As was told earlier, the second part of “Salaar” will be titled as “Shouryaanga Parvam.”
“Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire” had its global theatrical release on December 22, 2023. The film was released in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu.
How many other records is “Salaar” going to break at the box office? We will have to see.
