Odia Girl Mrunalinee barges into Indian Fashion Scene

With her stunning looks, gentle poise and quiet confidence, Odia girl Mrunalinee Senapati is the latest from Odisha to create a buzz in the Indian fashion world. She was adjudged the first runners up in the 2017 edition of Miss Mumbai Diva at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai recently.

Born in Astarang, Puri to a school teacher father, the beauty queen was into modeling right from her college days.

“I am confident, hard working, dedicated and passionate about my work. These attributes have made me a winner today,” say a confident Mrunalinee.

A graduate from Ravenshaw University, Mrunalinee is also a sports lover and plays Kabaddi and badminton. In fact, she likes any activity that challenges her capability.

“I love to take up tasks that require a lot of stamina and will power. I strongly believe one can achieve anything in life, if they have a strong will power to do it,” she says.

Questioning patriarchy, Mrunalinee believes in a society which gives equal respect and opportunities to both men and women.

“I believe in a balanced world. Both men and women should be given an equal platform. Then only the society can flourish.”

On her future plans, the five feet nine inches tall model says she wants to make it big in the modeling industry and ultimately become a Bollywood actor.
