Bollywood veteran Mithun Chakraborty’s first wife, actress Helena Luke, passed away on Sunday in the USA. However, a cryptic social media post shared by Helena just hours before her demise has sparked intrigue and caught the attention of users.
The actress shared her last post on Facebook at 9:20 am on Sunday, where she wrote, “Feeling weird. Mixed emotions and no clue why, discombobulated”. This heartbreaking news was announced by former dancer and actress Kalpana Iyer on social media, leaving fans and industry colleagues emotional. The news of her tragic demise on Sunday sparked an outpouring of nostalgia, with many remembering her iconic film roles.
It is worth mentioning that, actor Mithun Chakraborty and Helena were married for 4 months only. Later Helena walked out on him and asked for divorce due to his toxic behaviors.
In an interview with Stardust Helena once revealed that, Mithun promised her father that he will take care of his daughter. But he never did. She said, “I believed him when he told me that he loves me, but the time I began knowing him closely I realized he loves nobody other than himself.”. He was very childish, and though I was years younger than him, I felt much older. He was very possessive and accused me of seeing my ex-boyfriend Javed on the sly. I used to go blue in the face trying to convince him that I didn’t, but couldn’t succeed in eradicating his deep-rooted suspicious nature. It was only later that I realised he had a guilt complex. He was fooling around my back and thought I was doing the same.”
The actress also shared that, the four-month-old marriage was a nightmare for her, she wished it hadn’t happened. He was the one who brainwashed her into believing that he was the man for her. Unfortunately, he succeeded and later the marriage became toxic. Now she is glad that, the divorce happened.
Taking back to the old time, Helena was one of the popular actresses hailing from Hindi cinema. She became popular after starring alongside veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan’s film Mard, which was released in 1985. She also worked in movies like, Do Gulab, Judai, Saath Saath.
