Leaked copy of Adipurush on YouTube gains over 2 million views

Among the most talked about films this year, is Adipurush. The film has been wrapped in numerous controversies, even before its release. Starring faces like Prabhas, Kirti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles, the film has collected over 125 crores in India so far.

Now in an interesting turn of events, the full-length Adipurush got leaked on YouTube, much ahead of its OTT release. The leaked version of the film on YouTube garnered a whopping viewership of over two million, within a short span of its upload.

However, the leaked Adipurush on YouTube was pulled down within a few hours due to suspected copyright infringement.

Manoj Muntashir, the writer of the film, took to his official Twitter handle and posted a formal apology for hurting people’s sentiments with the dialogues of Adipurush. He wrote, “I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation.”

Adipurush had its theatrical release on June 16. The film also stars Devdatta Nage as Bajrang, Sunny Singh as Laxmana, and Vatsal Sheth as Indrajeet. The film is yet to be released on any OTT platform.
