Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s grandmother Indrani Thakur passed away yesterday. The actress payed her tribute to her grandmother, who is no more. She shared mournful moments on her Instagram stories posting various pictures with her grandmother.
The first picture was of Kangana sitting along with Indrani as the duo shared a hearty laugh. She wrote in Hindi, “Kal raat meri naaniji Indrani Thakur ji ka dehanth hua. Sara parivaar shokh mein hain. Kripaya unke liye prarthana kare. ”
She uploaded another photo with her grandmother. She said, “My Nani was a marvelous lady, she had 5 children. Nana ji was not well off yet she ensured that each one of her children got high education in good institutes and insisted that even her married daughters should work and have a career of their own, even her daughters got government jobs a rare feat in those days, all of her 5 children including women had their own careers, she was very proud of her children’s careers.”
In the third picture she said, “We owe so much to our nani ji, my nani ji was 5 feet 8 inches tall, very rare for a mountain woman. I got her height and her health and metabolism. My nani ji was so healthy and lively that though she was above 100 years old she did all her work by herself.”
This is what actress Kangana Ranaut has posted regarding her late grandmother, Indrani Thakur, who died after having a brain stroke while cleaning her room.
Kangana posted with an emotional outpour, mentioning her life which had been such an inspiration and source of motivation for the family whose legacy and memory will be stay in their hearts.
On the work front, Kangana would be seen in ‘Emergency’ where she would essay the role of Indira Gandhi. Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman are also there in the film.
