New-Delhi: Yet another South Indian actress Sowmya has made allegations of sexual harassment and rape against a Tamil director.
In an interview to NDTV, Sowmya alleged that the director was “grooming her to be his sex slave” when she was just 18 years old.
Sowmya said in the interview, the director, along with his wife, approached her when she was 18 years old and inflicted mental torture by claiming her as his “daughter”. She has also accused a Tamil film director of severe mental, physical, and sexual abuse including sticking a rod into her genitalia for entertainment.
Sowmya said to NDTV, “It took 30 years for me to heal and recover from this sense of ‘shame’… I encourage survivors to report all such abuse.”
Sowmya said that she will soon reveal the name of the director to the special team formed by the Kerala government, investigating sexual assault cases in the film industry.
