CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury on Thursday met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and batted for a ‘Secular Presidential Candidate.’
“I met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and held discussion on selecting the next President of India. I requested him to select a ‘Secular Presidential Candidate,’ said Yechury to the reporters after meeting Patnaik at the state Secretariat.
The Chief Minster always has evaded media query over his support for the next President while many non-NDA parties have decided not to support the BJP candidate.
