State Cabinet meeting today

Bhubaneswar, Apr 05: The state Cabinet will hold an important meeting at 5 pm at the State Secretariat here on Wednesday.

According to reports, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will chair the meeting which is likely to discuss as many as five proposals.

The Cabinet meeting is likely to discuss the proposal of the General Administration (GA) Department regarding merger of two departments and the new policy for drinking water supply system.

This apart, some proposals of GA, Public Grievances and Pension Administration, Panchayati Raj and Rural Departments are also likely to be discussed during the meeting.

Sources said, the state government’s proposal to provide land for the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Berhampur free of coast is likely to get the Cabinet’s nod today.
