Bhubaneswar: Odia girl Sonika Roy was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International India-2017 during a ceremony held by Fashion India at Hotel New Marrion here on Saturday.
The Bhubaneswar girl will now represent India in the Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 beauty pageant scheduled to be held in Philippines.
With this, she became the second from the state to participate in Miss Asia Pacific International competition. Earlier, Shrishti Vyakranam had participated in the 2016 edition of the international beauty contest and had ended up in the top 10.
Roy was placed among the top 3 at Femina Miss India Odisha 2017.
