In a major boost to the industrial as well as employment sectors in the State, the Odisha Govt has cleared investment proposals worth Rs 9,468.89 Crore through single-window clearance.
In total, 10 companies got the nod for their business proposals. However, NTPC gets the lion’s share with Rs 7,698.46 Crore. It’s not immediately known how many jobs would be generated by the NTPC.
But, if we exclude NTPC, 9 other companies that are going to invest Rs 1,770.43 Crore, will generate 3,204 jobs. Ultratech Cement Limited leads the pack. It would create 920 jobs at an investment of Rs 737 Crore.
Topaz Solar Private Limited would invest Rs 220 Crore and generate 750 jobs. Jay Bharat Spices Pvt. Ltd. would create 550 jobs by investing Rs 61.42 Crore. Sakura Premier Solar Pvt. Ltd. Would spend Rs 241 Crore and generate 347 jobs.
