Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday congratulated the girls from Dongria Kondh tribe for their success in the HSC exam and called them as harbingers of change.
“Congratulations to the girls from Dongria Kondh tribe on passing HSC exam. They are the harbingers of change. Proud,” tweeted the CM.
Notably, nine girls from the Dongria Kondh tribe passed the matriculation exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) this year and created history in the history of the Dongria Kondh in the state.
The girls, who cleared the exam in their first attempt by overcoming many challenges associated with their life and lifestyle, were the students of Kansur Educational Complex managed by Dongria Kondh Development Authority (DKDA) near Kalyansinghpur in Rayagada district.
