Newly appointed Health Minister Pratap Jena on Wednesday made a surprise visit to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar to take stock of health services.
After finding some doctors on duty missing at the hospital, the Minister said that the doctors need to arrive at the hospital on time and be available for the patients during duty hours. However, he spared the absentee doctors for today.
“Action will not be taken against the absentee doctors for today. But, they are requested to do their duties properly, failing which appropriate action will be taken,” Jena said.
Dressed in casual wear, the Minster also visited different wards of the hospital and interacted with the patients asking them about the services being provided to them.
