Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who is on an official tour to India, arrived in Bhubaneswar this afternoon on a two-day visit and visited Lord Lingaraj Temple in the Temple City.
She landed in Bhubaneswar at around 2:45 PM. The Nepal President was received by State Finance Minister Pradip Amat, Home Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy, DGP KB Singh and Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania among others.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari headed straight to Raj Bhavan and then she went to attend a Seminar on Women Empowerment at the Mission Shakti Bhawan. She praised Biju Kanya Ratna Yojana at the programme.
At the Lingaraj Temple, she was welcomed by the priests and then offered prayers and puja. She would visit the Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri tomorrow.
