Putting all rumours and speculations into rest, the Commissionerate Police finally traced freedom fighter Laxmi Indira Panda’s missing grandson Babula Panda in Mancheswar area of Bhubaneswar and admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Babula is said to be in critical condition and being treated for kidney related ailments. He will be shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack. It is not immediately known under what circumstances Babula was found and why he remained incommunicado for so long.
Babula had been missing since the April 16 felicitation by PM Modi. His father Surendra reached home in Jeypore safely, but mother Sujata boarded a wrong train and later rescued by a good Samaritan in Balasore before being sent back to Jeypore.
Meanwhile, CM Naveen Patnaik has announced free treatment to Babula Panda at the SCB and asked the administration to take care of him.
