Cuttack: Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahatab, who had recently triggered a political storm with a series of articles on BJD’s internal affairs, has taken a big u-turn and rubbished reports that his statements were against the party’s interests.
Bhartruhari, who perhaps does not want to fall out of favour with BJD supremo and CM Naveen Patnaik like Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda, has clarified that there could be differences of opinion within the BJD, but not conflict as speculated by a section of media.
The BJD Leader in Lok Sabha hailed Naveen Patnaik’s leadership, saying “The people of Odisha have reposed trust in him. Naveen will continue to lead BJD to victory even in 2019.”
Bhartruhari’s change of stance is seen as a desperate attempt to win back the trust of Naveen Patnaik. .
