Bhadrak unrest: Dharmendra apprises Union Home Min regarding situation

New Delhi, Apr 08: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and apprised the latter about the ongoing communal violence in Bhadrak over a Facebook post hurting the sentiments of one community.

“I met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and apprised him about the ongoing communal violence in Bhadrak,” said Pradhan in his Twitter account.

The Petroleum Minister also requested Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to take steps to restore peace and harmony in Bhadrak.

“I request Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to take steps as per the law to maintain peace and discipline in Bhadrak,” he added saying it is essential to take steps in the matter carefully as sentiments of people are linked with it.

The Union Minister also appealed the people of Bhadrak to refrain themselves from creating violence and to maintain law and order in the town.
