Puri: Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhdra and Devi Subhadra today got treated with Phuluri Tela (oil) to recover from an illness following a grand bath on Debasnana Purnima at Srikshetra Puri.
The healers, who have been performing the hereditary duty of curing the ailing deities, use Phuluri Tela and apply other herbal methods to cure cold and fever of the three deities.
The famous Phuluri Tela, an herbal medicine comprising of barks and roots, is prepared at the Bada Odia matha, Puri.
