Agni-II Ballistic Missile test-fired successfully from Abdul Kalam Island

India successfully test-fired Agni-II Ballistic Missile from Abdul Kalam Island in Dhamra off Odisha coast on Thursday.

The missile, which can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads of 15 kilo tonne to 250 kilo tonne, was test-fired from lunch pad no-4 at 10.23 AM.

The 21-metre-long and 1.3-meter-wide ballistic missile weighs 16,000 KG and has a strike range of 2,000-3,000 KM. The missile can travel at a velocity of 3.9 KM per second and can be fired from rail and road mobile launchers.
