+2 cut off marks out; Ravenshaw most sought after in Science stream

Plus Two cut off marks Bhubaneswar: The Department of Higher Education on Tuesday announced the first phase cut off list for admissions into +2 courses across junior colleges in the state. Ravenshaw junior college in Cuttack has emerged as the most sought after institute in the Science stream.

As per the cut off mark published on the official website of the Higher Education Department www.dheodisha.gov.in, BJB College, like previous years, dominated in Commerce and Arts streams recording 83.60% and 75.33 % respectively while Ravenshaw stood second with 80.67% and 73.67% respectively.

Below is the cut off marks of other major colleges of the state:

Science stream: Basic Science College (90), RD Junior College (85.50), Fakir Mohan Junior College (87.12), Khallikote Junior College (87.67), Rajdhani College (84.67).

Commerce stream: Ravenshaw junior college (80.67), BJB junior college (83.60), RD junior college (71.33), Fakir Mohan junior college (64.83), Khallikote junior college (68.40), Rajdhani college (76).

Arts Stream: Ravenshaw junior college (73.67), BJB junior college (75.33), RD junior college (71.67), Fakir Mohan junior college (74), Khallikote junior college (63), Rajdhani college (70.30).

The selected students will take admission between June 16 to 19.

The second phase merit list will be announced on June 22 and admissions for this phase will be held from June 24 to 28.

The 3rd round selection merit list will be published on July 3 and admissions for the same will take place from July 5 to 6.

Classes for all three streams will begin from July 6.
