unique way of observing Rakhi festival by girl students of College in Odisha

Jajpur: On the occasion of the Rakhi festival the students of Chitalo College in Jajpur district have adopted a different and inspiring way to observe this special day. They have by sent rakhis to military jawans.

Military jawans can’t celebrate festivals as they are busy executing their duty in the border. They have to remain away from their friends, families and beloved ones for the sake of duty. Hence, they can’t spend time with their loved ones. They don’t enjoy a special occasion. Every coming day is the same for them.

The girls have taken this rare step in respect of the soldiers who offer unconditional sacrifice for their fellow Indian brothers. Safety and security of the country is everything for them.  They incessantly work to offer protection to the citizens. They stand like a shield in the boarder.

Generally, Rakhi festival is all about the sacred relation of brothers and sisters. On this day sisters use to tie a colourful thread, called Rakhi, on the wrist of her brother. The main objective of this occasion is to provide safety, security. By tying a rakhi, the sister makes an unwritten agreement with the brother that he would keep her safe and secured.

Hence, the unique step taken by the girl students of Chitalo College in Jajpur district seems appropriate. This year co-incidentally Rakhi festival is being celebrated on the Indian Independence Day that is on August 15, 2019. Accordingly, this will be the best gift for our jawan brothers this year.
