Rs 147.50 Deducted From SBI Account! Bank Gives Reasons Why

Bhubaneswar: If you have an account with SBI (State Bank of India) and you have received a message of Rs. 147.50 deducted then know why.

These days messages are being received from people of SBI account for deducting about Rs 147.50. People are troubled as to why these messages are being sent.

The bank deducts the maintenance charge for the ATM  that is debit card. These charges are deducted from the bank’s accounts on behalf of the bank every year.

The bank has given information about this on the Twitter handle and has said that Rs 147.50 is deducted as a charge on behalf of the bank.

It is noteworthy that, SBI allows up to eight (8) free transactions in metro cities to its regular savings account holders in a month.

These include free transactions from Five (5) SBI ATMs and Three (3) ATMs of any other bank. 10 free ATM transactions from non-metro cities, in which five (5) transactions can be done from SBI, while five (5) from other banks’ ATMs.

    SBI MUST BE PRIVATIZED AS PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS BANK. SERVICES OF SBI AT BRANCH LEVEL IS PATHETIC AND INSULTING TO CUSTOMERS. THE BANK STAFF ARE RUDE TO CUSTOMERS AND CUSTOMERS WHO HAS ACCOUNT WITH SBI ARE VULNERABLE. SBI STAFF ARE TYPICAL GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRATS. THEY MUST TRAINED.

      Agreed, so that numbers of account holders decrease drastically to come down at par with present private banks to improve services.

      You may have had a bad experience in one or two out of the 20,000 odd branches of SBI. The staff and officers of SBI are generally polite courteous and trained. Before making sweeping statements, go to at least 50 branches each of different banks including private ones.

    Atms reduce the load and work of bank staff, resulting less staff and smaller area. Then why tax customers with so many restrictions?

    They also deduct Rs 25 everytime one deposits money using Cash Deposit Machine which is annoying. On several occasions some notes aren’t accepted by it and we have to deposit the remaining amount second time after having the notes changed and again Rs 25 gets deducted from the account.

      It deducts CDM charge of Rs.25 if you do for cardless deposit. If you use your card then no amount is charged for that

    Banks report huge quarterly profits, but demands charges for each and every services provided. If banks are doing good then why they steal (sorry, account debited without consent) money from account holders? In many SBI branches, the security guards help account holders better than bank staff. Finally, debiting account holders account by banks should be construed as daylight robbery.

    These bank businesses is a big fraud.people like mallaya cause thousands of crores loss to the banks which will be recapitalised with public money because politicians and business men are like a pair of dacoits supporting each other like ambanis and adanis while the public are fleeced through heavy taxation. It is a curse to be born in this country.

    I like to know where you worked or working? Any service industry where all services are free ? Mind that in SBI , your sisters or brothers are working।

    Only bank that runs like they do the customer a big favour.

    Most of the ATM frauds and losses are in SBI and most of the people who get arrested for siphoned money are from SBI.

    Next you may have charges to walk into branch, use transaction slip and also sit in their branch chair and wait

    SBI IS A BANK WASTLY COVERING THE COUNTRY WITH MAXIMUM NUMBER OF BRANCHES IN RURAL AREA. THERE CHARGES ARE STILL LESS IN COMPARISON TO OTHER BANKS. WE HAVE TO STAND WITH NEW PRACTICE IN BANKING. PEOPLE NOT SATISFIED BY SBI CAN OPT TO OTHER BANKS WHICH THEY FIND BETTER.
    HOWEVER MY ONLY REGRET WITH BANK IS THAT SOME OF THE EMPLOYEES SPECIALLY OF MATURING AGE ARE NOT PROFICIENT IN COMPUTER HANDLING CAUSING BOTTLE NECK AND LONG DELAY IN OPERATIONS RESULTING LONG QUEUES IN BANK. ON ASKING THEY REPLY THAT BANK SERVER FAILED.(WHICH IS A LIE). THIS CAN BE OVERCOME BY ORGANISING COME TRANING CLASSES IN COMPUTER HANDLING.
    I READ COMMENTS OF OTHERS ALSO THEY APPEARS TO BE ONE SIDED ONLY. AND ALSO FROM A PARTICULAR GEOGRAPHY OF THE COUNTRY, “NOT PANINDIA”.

    Yes they have to give loan to another mallya or chauksi..and get big commission out of that.. for the same they are collecting money from common man.

    Sbi har year annual maintance charge katat hi h or agr sbi coustmers ke har ek se har yr annual maintainance ktat hi hai to har transcition me 23 rupee katane ka kya matlb hua agr 1 month me 3bar transiction hua to 3 bar paise katne ka kya matlb hua:-@

    Banks are treating savings account holders shabbily. The interest rate is half or even less than deposit holder’s. They make their profits from SB account holder’s. Earlier many services were not charged. Now everything is overcharged. With big corporates they give high interest, free services and loans on which they can default with no fear of penalty. ATM reduces staff and other cost. They should not charge for using the facility. Further the number of free withdrawal’s is not cumulated and added to the next month limit which should be done.
