New Zealand Politician rides bicycle to hospital in labour, gives birth

New Zealand politician Julie Anne Genter rode a bicycle to the hospital to give birth to her first born.

Julie, who is a member of parliament of New Zealand, took to her facebook to post a picture of her cycle on the way to the hospital to have her delivery. On Sunday morning, she started getting contractions she said, and though they weren’t that bad she got on her cycle and rode it to the hospital in the break of dawn.

She was already in labour as she reached the hospital and gave birth to her first born an hour later.

“Big news!” Julie wrote while sharing the post. In the pictures she can be seen smiling in the parking lot of the hospital.
