Ministry Of Road Transport & Highways releases notification for recruitment of Technical Consultants; Salary up to Rs 70,000
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India has released an advertisement for the engagement of Technical Consultants to provide technical support to Tunnel Zone of the ministry.
The candidates will be engaged for two years. After the expiry of the initial two years’ term, the engagement may be extended, based on requirement of Ministry and performance of Consultant(s) concerned, with the approval of competent authority, for a maximum period of one year beyond two years.

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Recruitment Vacancy Details:
A total of two Technical Consultants will be recruited.
Educational Qualification:
The candidate should have a Graduate in Civil Engineering.
Experience:
Essential: The applicant should have a minimum 5 years of experience in planning, designing, construction, maintenance and operation of Road Tunnels. Good Knowledge of IRC Codes/Standard and Specification of Tunnel
Desirable:
- Experience in tunneling work with State or Central Government/ PSU/ Autonomous bodies.
- Post Graduation in Tunnel Engineering/ Engineering Geology/ Geotechnical engineering.
- Strong Communication Skills both oral & written.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for Consultant shall be 65 years as on the last date of submission of application.
Salary Details
Emoluments: The maximum amount of monthly consolidated remuneration payable to the Consultants shall be Rs 70,000. Fee/Remuneration of consultant(s) will increase by 5% per annum.
The Consultants shall not be entitled to any allowance/benefits such as Dearness Allowance, Transport Facility, Residential Accommodation, Personal Staff, CGHS, and Medical Reimbursement etc. However, Conveyance Allowance shall be paid at Rs 7,500 per month.
Selection Procedure:
All the applications received in response to the advertisements will be scrutinized and short-listed. Thereafter, shortlisted applicants will be selected by a Screening-cumSelection Committee by taking an interview.
