London: In an unusual incident, an iPhone X user got back his device is working condition after dropping it into a lake two days back.

According to a report in Nottingham Post, a staff member at the Spring Lakes Water Sports centre dropped his iPhone X in a lake at the park in Long Eaton, Derbyshire. A team of divers were then assigned the task to find the handset. Notably, the lake is quite misty.

“The lake was so murky, we never managed to find anything else on the day,” said one of the divers. As per the report, the diver who found the iPhone X said, “We had made a bit of a plan on this grid. But I went off course a bit and as I hit the bottom I reached out and touched the phone.”

The diver found the handset in a perfectly working condition. He also reportedly saw a missed call from the grandfather of the person who dropped his iPhone.

“I grabbed it and pressed the button (on the side of the phone) and it turned on. The screen lit up and he had a missed call from his granddad. I screamed under water. It was amazing that it still worked after two days,” said the diver who found the iPhone.

The report reveals that the iPhone belonged to Brad Beech, who dropped his device while on a job in the park.
